-- 【資訊】Intel X79主機板將於2011 ComputeX現身
目前Intel Z68晶片組已經算是接近上市時程，主機板製造商開始轉移注意力到X79晶片組上面，並計劃於今年的台北國際電腦展（ComputeX）展出。
Intel X79的晶片組代號為Patsburg-HEDT，它將與Sandy Bridge-E構成Waimea Bay平台。X79主機板預定於今年八月推出，而Sandy Bridge-E大概會晚一個月。
Intel X79以及Sandy Bridge-E的規格如下。
Sandy Bridge-E：
Up to 6 cores and 12 threads
32-KB instruction and 32-KB data L1 cache per core
256-KB shared instruction/data L2 cache per core
Up to 15 MB L3 cache (up to 2.5 MB per core) shared among all cores
Up to 40 PCIe Gen 3 Lanes (2x16 & 1x8)
